Kinesiotaping

Kinesiotaping is a form of strapping in which tape is applied to the skin usually to keep muscles or bones in position.

Taping can fulfil many roles such as supporting the ligaments and capsules of unstable joints in order to limit excessive or abnormal movement. It can also stimulate feedback from the limb or joint, as well as support injuries at the muscle-tendon units. It does so by compressing and limiting movement, with secure protective pads, dressings and splints.
